Starting today, United States-based college students can sign up for a three-month free trial of our Microsoft 365 Personal subscription, which comes with Copilot along with our powerful productivity apps, generous cloud storage, and more. And the deal keeps going after that: following the free trial period, students get a recurring 50% discount on our monthly Microsoft 365 Personal plan (lowering the monthly price from $9.99/month to only $4.99/month).¹ While students outside of the United States are not eligible for the three-month free trial, you can still receive discounted recurring pricing.

Conquer more with Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps

Productivity and creativity are at the heart of Microsoft 365, and with Copilot integration across our apps you’re now equipped with an AI assistant that makes your life easier (and fun). Here are five scenarios to try with Copilot:

• Have a free-form “brain dump” of all the things you want to do in the summer, or have to get done for your internship? Copilot in OneNote can get them organized by summarizing, rewriting, or creating a task list for you.

• Need help with meal preparation for the week? With Copilot in Word, just enter your dietary preferences and servings, and Copilot will create a polished recipe ready for your kitchen.

• Facing an email backlog from finals week? Don’t sweat it. Copilot in Outlook can summarize lengthy email threads so you can get on with your day.

• Looking to update your budget for summer or next semester? Ask Copilot in Excel to analyze your current budget spreadsheet, offer ideas, and set you off on a great start.

• Trying to string together a slideshow of your spring break vacation to share with your friends? Give Copilot in PowerPoint some details about your vacation and watch it generate the narrative flow, slides, and design, then just add your favorite photos.

Create and edit images with Microsoft Designer

Microsoft 365 subscribers can also do more image creation and editing than free users. In addition to accessing Designer within apps like Word and PowerPoint, you can also use the standalone Designer app on the web and on mobile. Use Designer to create eye-catching images by simply describing what you’re looking for or choosing from pre-populated ideas. Plus, expertly edit your photos with AI by erasing unwanted objects with ease. Here are two scenarios to try with Designer:

• Did you capture some memories along with unexpected guests? Simply open Designer and upload your photo to edit with AI. You can easily select unwanted objects and watch Designer use AI to remove them from the photo.

• Capturing your favorite recipes in a recipe book and need to bring them to life? Describe your dish and Copilot in Word will use Designer to create a unique image that complements your recipe.

Generous cloud storage and advanced security

Beyond its productivity tools, Microsoft 365 delivers additional benefits that cater to the needs of modern students. The subscription includes one terabyte (TB) of cloud storage, allowing students to store their assignments, research, and personal projects securely while helping to ensure you can access your files from anywhere and take them with you after graduation. Privacy and control

Microsoft believes in putting students in control of your digital experience, so we’ve added settings in apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint that allow you to disable or enable Copilot as needed.

We recognize that our customers have questions about AI privacy, including how we train our AI models. Transparency is one of our six responsible AI principles, so we’re sharing more details here. To protect your privacy, we do not use your prompts, responses, or file content (such as Word documents or Excel spreadsheets) when you use Copilot in the Microsoft 365 apps to train our foundation models. Importantly, this subscription is a personal license, and not associated with your college or university, so your data stays with you after you graduate.
